Tea-Party Supporters Help Bristol Palin Last on Dancing With The Stars

After surviving several weeks at the bottom of the scoring chart, Bristol Palin somehow found herself in the semi-finals of Dancing With The Stars this week. Palin, despite having low marks, has made it through on the strength of what many now believe is a Tea-Party push.

Whether or not the Tea-Party is really behind Palin’s absurd run to the top of the show is unknown. What is known is that Palin was able to survive another elimination on Tuesday, this one shocking the entire audience.

The two betting favorites the entire season have been Brandy and Jennifer Grey. Brandy is well-known for musical talents, and Grey has been on a dance floor or two in her day, most notably in the hit movie, Dirty Dancing.

When the results were revealed Tuesday, it was Brandy who was headed home, and Palin who was headed to the finals. That outcome made it apparent to everyone that celebrity and Republican roots were driving Palin’s stay on the show.

Odds makers are faced with a difficult decision moving forward. Most of the time on DWTS, the winner is one of the top dancers and gains the support of fan voters along the way. In this case, Grey is clearly the top dancer this season, but Palin’s popularity makes her dangerous.

The sports books must now decide, no matter how good Grey dances, is it possible that Tea-Party supporters will push Palin over the top? Tune in next week to see the conclusion of DWTS.
