Roulette – The Simplest Game of All

The game is possibly the simplest of any casino game. Players choose a color of chips that signifies their plays on the game board. Each player will have a different color. Once the player receives their chips, it is time for the attendant to spin the while ball on a wheel that contains slots for the numbers one through thirty-six. To shift the odds slightly in the house favor, the numbers zero and double zero are also added to the roulette wheel in green. The rest of the numbers alternate between red and black.

Players can place their chips on any number, and also can play as many of the numbers on each spin as they wish. If a number comes out on the roulette wheel, the player wins thirty-five to one on their bet. Easy enough, until your favorite numbers do not come out for an hour straight.

Any player who feels unlucky has options with larger odds of winning. A player can play the first twelve numbers, the middle twelve numbers, or the third twelve numbers. These payout odds are not as large as hitting a single number, but they do provide a bit of protection, with twelve chances to win.

The zero and double zero are betting options on every spin, as are black or red. For the more advanced player, options include cornering four numbers, by placing a chip on the lines between the four numbers. If any of the four come out, the player wins. Again, the payout odds are lower than if only one number was chosen.

If you have a bunch of lucky numbers, roulette may be the game for you. There is not much logic involved in why players win other than a lucky streak or two. Anyone that tells you roulette is a game of skill is lying.
