Sports Betting Books Say Oregon, Boise State College Football’s Best
With arguments building as to which of the four unbeaten NCAA football teams deserve to be among the two contestants in the national championship game, bookmakers are saying sports betting sites would likely favor Oregon and Boise State in head-to-head matchups. While speculative lines set for a game between Auburn and TCU have the game as even, either would most likely be an underdog to Oregon or Boise, according to a report on ESPN.
Oregon is considered by bookmakers the nation’s strongest team, giving three points to Boise State if the two played in the BCS Championship Game. Auburn would get 4.5 points if matched against Oregon, as would TCU. Boise would lay two points to either of the perceived weaker contenders.
However, speculation that undefeated schools will run the table on their remaining schedules is often popular this time of year, but almost every year upsets radically alter the rankings even after many think the case has been decided. Boise faces tough challenges by both Fresno State and Nevada, teams whose play this year makes them more dangerous than many better-known names.
Oregon has its “Civil War,” the annual matchup against instate rival Oregon State. Auburn must play Alabama in the continuation of the toughest rivalry in college football, facing the defending national champion. Only TCU seems a sure thing to finish undefeated.
